What is one to think when one pursues the single fin in the modern concept and after becoming dissatisfied with the result, converts the same board to a Bonzer configuration and discovers a happy accident has occurred?
Having no desire to dismiss Rusty’s proven efforts with his latest single fin offering, I feel it still must evolve with more time and R&D from the community of builders. It is my observation over the last 20 years that shapers will do custom work that is adapted to their own theoretical constraints and comfort zones. Rather than ask a shaper to increase concave depth it would be easier to give myself a root canal.
Here are a few pics of a single fin ordered to my specs and then adapted to a multi fin with Bonzer placement and fins. This has proven to be a magic board!
